MRG Book Club
As a business owner and expert in the real estate industry I find myself constantly picking up books to improve my knowledge base, expand my perspective, and refine my skillset as a professional. So many of these books have been vital to the growth of myself and foundation for MRG. Last year, I was inspired after participating in a book club with Atlanta Department of City Planning to start my very own book club. The weekly conversations we had centered around the book allowed for an even deeper understanding.
Im excited to share this with you and hope you enjoy the ride! I have selected a list of books from previous readings and added some new well recommended titles. I won’t make any lofts goals about how many books we will read, and instead allow this to organically grow one book at a time. Below, you will find the information on the selected title as well as our reading schedule and zoom info for the weekly discussions. I’m so excited and looking forward to an awesome experience!

Suburban Nation:
The Rise of Sprawl and the Decline of the American Dream

After making the decision to start a book club the first major question was, what title would I start with. I have so many books I would like to share and discuss but I wanted a title that could be the over arching theme and referenced as we continue to read other books.
It became clear that Suburban Nation would be the best choice. This book explores the impact of urban sprawl on how we live. Peeling back each layer and appropriately addressing how these compounded factors have had a lasting effect on our life style and American culture.
